“Miss Weems” was first published in the January 28, 1956 issue of The New Yorker magazine. The caption at the bottom of the work is in Charles Addams’s own hand and reads, "We won't be late, Miss Weems. Get the children to bed around eight, and keep your back to the wall at all times." This “en grisaille” painting is printed on Arches Watercolor Paper with Epson Ultrachrome Ink. Unframed.
